Unusual Skin Care Tips

by Mario Medina

Skin care isn't an exact science. Different temperatures, weather conditions, and internal factors in your body can cause your skin to feel and act differently. Here are some unusual tips for keeping your skin looking beautiful.

1. Use Coconut Oil to Remove Makeup

If you are having a hard time finding a makeup remover that won't cause you to break out or suffer rashes on your skin, you might want to consider utilizing coconut oil in order to get rid of your makeup completely. Many makeups will come off easily with some sort of oil, but coconut oil will also give you the added benefit of moisturizing your skin. In order to use coconut oil, apply it to a small pad or to your finger. Then, use your pad or finger to start rubbing off your makeup. Once all of your make up has been gently rubbed off, allow the coconut oil to sit for a few minutes in order to let your skin absorb some of its moisturizing tendencies. Then, wash every trace off. Be sure not to get it in your eyes. If you do, flush thoroughly with water.

2. Use Dandruff Shampoo to Get Reduce Flaking Skin on Face

In many cases, the fact that your skin on your face is flaking is because it is super dry. However, if you have been using moisturizer for weeks and are still suffering, you might want to consider using dandruff shampoo as a cleanser once a week until your flaking skin goes away. This is because dandruff shampoo is designed to help force the yeast levels on your skin to come into balance and stop killing off your skin and having it flake off. If it works on people's scalps, it will work on your face. Do not use it for several days in a row or else you risk causing a rash, but once a week or less is often safe.

3. Wash Your Face Before You Exercise, as Well as After

You probably religiously wash your face after you exercise in order to make sure that the sweat does not cause you to break out and so that you feel more clean. However, you might not think to make sure that you wash your face before you exercise. If you don't wash your face, any makeup that you might have on will mix with the sweat you generate while you exercise and clog your pores. Get rid of the makeup before you hit the treadmill.
